OUR STORY

Founding : "Kenyans at York U" was founded in September 2023 to create a community for Kenyan students at York University. Our club was established to offer support, build connections, and celebrate our shared heritage while fostering a sense of belonging among Kenyan students on campus.

Mission : Our mission is to create a home away from home for Kenyan students, providing a platform for cultural exchange, academic support, and social engagement. We aim to promote the rich culture of Kenya while integrating it into the diverse fabric of York University.

Vision : Our vision is to be a vibrant and inclusive community that nurtures the growth and development of Kenyan students, empowering them to excel in all aspects of university life.

Open to All : "Kenyans at York U" is open to everyone at York University—no formal membership is required. Whether you’re a Kenyan student, someone with Kenyan heritage, or simply interested in our club, you’re welcome to join us at any of our events and activities.

Get Involved : There are plenty of ways to get involved with our club, from attending events and participating in activities to volunteering and taking on leadership roles. We encourage everyone to contribute their ideas and energy to help make our community even stronger.
